UM Debate ranked No. 11 nationally, competes at West Point

The first National Intercollegiate Debate Rankings for 2013 have been posted, and The University of Miami Debate Team is ranked among the nation’s elite.  In the National Debate Tournament (NDT) rankings, UM placed 11th (of 115 member schools), and the Cross Examination Debate Association (CEDA) rankings place UM at #12.  UM is second in the Southeast Region to Wake Forest, who is ranked 6th by the NDT and 5th by CEDA. Student Media win Pacemaker and Best of Collegiate Design Awards

The Ibis Yearbook, distractionmagazine.com and themiamihurricane.com received Pacemaker Awards at the Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Association National Conference in New Orleans. The Pacemaker is the ACP’s top annual award for college media outlets. This is the seventh Pacemaker for the Ibis and the first for distractionmagazine.com, Distraction’s online edition. Debate Team Rises to No. 8 in National Rankings

UM Debaters Earn Top Tournament Honors

Call for Entries: Wine Spectator Foundation Competition To Award Up To $50,000 For Student Projects

The Wine Spectator Foundation will award up to $50,000 to School of Communication undergraduate and graduate students for projects about wine, food, restaurants, travel or tourism. UM Debate Finishes Season Ranked No. 6, Will Host Irish Debate Champions
