This course explores the potential uses of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of advertising, the accelerating capability and uses of AI tools, and the ethical, social, and economic implications. A key focus of the course is on how AI is transforming the creation, delivery, and measurement of advertising campaigns. Students will examine AI-driven advertising tools, learn to implement AI strategies, and understand the ethical, social, and economic implications of AI in advertising. Topics include AI in media planning and buying, advertising content creation and personalization, dynamic creative optimization, chatbots, advertising research, and predictive analytics for advertising.

This course will provide a review, examination and practical application of sports communications, publicity and promotions in strategic communications.

This course focuses on insight generation through quantitative, qualitative, and AI methods, developing consumer engagement strategies, and measuring the impact of insights-driven engagement.

Introduction to project management, including defining project scope, writing a project plan, setting objectives and success metrics, and using project management tools.

Dive into the world of Advertising account management through relevant case studies of real ad world scenarios. This practical course supports student’s business strategy, management, and client relationship skills development.

This course focuses on the entrepreneurial aspects of working in the advertising industry, from the perspective of assisting in the launch of a new brand or company, and from that of the process of defining and starting a new advertising agency business.

This course will provide an overview and practical application of various public and commercial social media analytics and tools, and will cover sources of data, metrics, analyses, and tools used in the development of successful social media campaigns.

The Advertising, M.A. is designed for students seeking advanced graduate study in advertising strategy, management, and audience insight. Applicants from a range of academic backgrounds, including communication, journalism, media studies, marketing or business, psychology, or the arts and humanities, and those whose undergraduate training focused on creative advertising are encouraged to apply.
