The Role

Kite Hill launched in New York City in 2013 and has quickly grown to be recognized as a leader in B2B tech PR. Are you looking to gain experience in how to do PR differently? Kite Hill’s Communications Intern will work with multiple account teams to execute PR plans for various clients and assist team members with day-to-day account management deliverables as a part of an integrated communications program for leading tech clients. 

Responsibilities include researching media targets, compiling and reviewing activity reports and creating content drafts, including press releases, blog posts and articles. In addition to client work, our Communications Intern will assist our new business team to research prospective clients and update content and graphics for new business proposals. 

The Kite Hill internship program provides interns with meaningful skills and a first-hand glimpse into the communications industry with one of the top tech PR firms. Our interns will get to work with team members at all levels and help with projects that deliver impact. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about the PR and media industry and wants to leverage the power of AI to contribute to best-in-class client campaigns.

Position Summary:

  • Day-to-day work on client- and company-related projects
  • Leverage approved AI platforms for industry, media and client-related research 
  • Draft content such as blog posts, client activity reports, media briefing documents and additional client materials
  • Monitor all forms of media for industry news relevant to Kite Hill clients
  • Assist with new business presentation development, including written content and graphic development 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a course of study in Communications, Marketing, PR or a related area
  • Minimum of three years of college experience 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
  • Experience with Google Suite is a must. Cision and Canva experience is a plus.
  • Experience with AI and interest in use of AI is a must, including ChatGPT and Gemini 
  • Clear understanding of social media platforms and passion for the media industry 
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills
