Photographer
We are looking for a very aggressive photographer with good story telling abilities. Must have a good “news eye” for our fast paced news shows, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, as well as work well with others. Knowledge of Sony HD cameras and non-linear editing is a must. A minimum of 2-3 years experience and a valid class “D” drivers license is required.
Tape Operator
Successful candidate will work in News Operations. Duties include but not limited to prepare dub and record satellite feeds. Prior experience or knowledge of Non-Linear editing equipment is helpful. Must be proficient in Windows. This is an excellent entry level position.
Associate Producer – Weekday
Looking for a candidate with small to medium market experience in television news writing — with a strong interest in producing. This is an extraordinary opportunity to train to produce in a fast paced, big market newsroom. Duties will include:-Intensive writing, mostly packages-Will assist writers with vo’s and vosot’s in various newscasts-Will act as a liaison between reporters, the newsdesk and producers when it comes to ordering key preproduction elements -Extensive logging and turning around any elements from “in house” (feeds, news conferences, etc.) to reporters in the field via the cloud-Will act as a newsroom “field producer” — and may be called upon to handle interviews via zoom (both setting up and conducting any interviews)-Able to jump in and assist producers in any aspect of getting the product on television This is a very intensive, high energy, hands on type of position that requires impeccable communication and organizational skills.
Graphic Arts Designer
If you’re a graphic artist trying to break into broadcast television, this is a chance to get your foot in the door. The WSVN 7 Design Department is looking for a skilled Graphic Designer for a Part Time position to create stills for our news broadcasts. Candidate will work with producers, editors and other designers in a fast-paced news environment and must have strong typography, spelling and composition skills. Must be dependable, able to work in a team oriented environment and take directions. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator required. Experience in Cinema4d with After Effects compositing skills a plus. This is a M-F overnight position, but covering other shifts may be required.
Reporter
Develops, researches and writes stories for broadcast on the air. Bachelor’s degree in journalism required. Minimum 2-3 years experience as a television news reporter required. We are looking for an aggressive, creative, on-line show producer. Should have medium market producing skills. Heavy emphasis on show stacking, headline and tease writing, as well as copy editing. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to meet deadlines. A Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two (2) years experience as a TV News Producer required. Must be proficient in Windows XP.
TIF Weekend/ 9AM Weekday Producer
7 News is looking for a line producer candidate to step in on our weekend morning shows, as well as three days a week, on our weekday, Today In Florida newscasts. This is an entry level producing job and a great way to get your “foot in the door” — in a shop known for its tremendous producing opportunities. Must have:-At least one year of news writing experience-Some booth experience, whether it be from cut-ins or special reports (or shadowing of other producers)-Strong communication skills

Seeking hands on self starter for an Investigative and Consumer Producer position. Responsible for writing, and gathering content and producing stories from concept to air. Must be able to establish contacts in the field, manage tips and public records requests, compose open records requests, and conduct interviews. 7 News is looking for an aggressive, weekend producer who is not afraid to constantly change their rundown. Our weekend newscasts are just as high energy as weekdays and we maintain the highest of standards when it comes to the writing and stacking of our shows. This candidate should possess an outstanding attention to detail, creativity and the ability to adapt to any changes. During the week, this producer fills in on the main newscasts. Experience in package writing is also a must. Producer must have at least 2 years of line producing experience and a Bachelor’s degree, or the work experience equivalent.
