Internationally renowned actress-writer-director Liv Ullmann discussed her life and career on November 23, in conjunction with a screening of the film AUTUMN SONATA. What started as a hobby for advertising graduate Olga Martinez has turned into a small business that has captured the hearts of children and parents all over Miami. As a favor in 2009, Martinez was asked to draw a cartoon resembling her cousin so she could have stickers to decorate birthday gifts. Alumnus’ Gift to Launch Speaker Series on the First Amendment

James Hoffman, A.B. ’80, has made a $50,000 pledge that will create the James Hoffman Family Endowed Speaker Series in the School of Communication at the University of Miami. On November 10, the Media Management Association welcomed UM graduate Kris Martin to talk about his experience at UM and how he has dived head first into the overwhelming world of media business.
