Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Development Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of development and fundraising within a nonprofit environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a difference and eager to learn about budgeting, and strategic planning while contributing to our mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in grant-writing
- Assist in sponsorship packet development for donors
- Assist in the development and management of budgets for various projects and initiatives
- Assist in Letters of request for funding
- Conduct research for new grant opportunities
- Keep grant schedule accurate
- Conduct research data collection to support grant proposals and funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members to market programs and services to potential donors and volunteers.
- Assist in volunteer management, including recruitment, training, and coordination of volunteers for events.
- Contribute to proposal writing efforts by drafting sections of proposals and reports.
Qualifications
- Interest in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. (Recommended)
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze data effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with budgeting processes is preferred but not required.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for nonprofit work and a desire to contribute positively to our community.
