Interdisciplinary Team Receives Provost Research Award

The Provost’s Research Awards supports individual or collective research projects that contribute significantly to the growth of the university’s research portfolio. This year, a relatively small research team composed of Barbara Millet, Juan Chattah, and Soyeon Ahn, received the award to pursue an ambitious research project. Come play with us! The Interactive Media End of Year Show is May 3 at 5 p.m. in the University of Miami School of Communication Koenigsberg and Nadal Interactive Media Center. Craig Robins, president and CEO of Dacra, is sharing his expertise with the University of Miami School of Communication, April 11 at 4 p.m. in CIB3053, Shoma Hall. This event will be moderated by award-winning journalist, Rula Jebreal, visiting professor in the School of Communication at the University of Miami. New Technologies Add Interactive Element to Physical Computing

As of the spring 2018 semester, Cinema and Interactive Media students at the School of Communication can create tangible mockups through the school’s recent purchase of a vinyl cutter, 3D printer, and computer numeric control machine (CNC). University of Miami Named to The Princeton Review 2018 List, ‘Top 25 Graduate Schools for Game Design’

The University of Miami has earned a #24 ranking on The Princeton Review's just-released list saluting the top 25 graduate schools for game design for 2018. The Princeton Review chose the schools based on its 2017 survey of 150 institutions in the U.S., Canada, and abroad offering game design degree programs or courses.
