PhilADthropy is Back Helping Local Nonprofits

Beginning at 11 a.m. on February 10, students of all majors will embark on a journey most others will never experience. FilmGate Interactive Media Festival Coming to UM

Uniting groundbreaking technology with interactive storytelling, FilmGate Interactive Media Festival is coming to University of Miami School of Communication for a three-day immersive conference. SoC Unveils Two New State-of-the-Art Centers

University of Miami School of Communication ushered in the interactive age with the dedication of two new centers on Friday, December 2. The school officially opened the Koenigsberg & Nadal Interactive Media Center and the Robert & Lauren Mann Broadcast Center in a unique ceremony emphasizing interaction and technology. MCHF 5K Keeps PREP Students On The Run

Students of University of Miami's Public Relations Experience Program (PREP) spent Saturday morning, Sept. 17, working the Miami Children's Health Foundation's (MCHF) 5k race at Coral Gables City Hall. On Aug. 30, the rain didn't stop University of Miami’s award-winning publications and organizations from getting together and encouraging students to get involved. 12 Local ADDYs Won by SoC Students

The ADDY Awards, given annually by the American Advertising Federation, is a competition that recognizes creativity and excellence in advertising. This prestigious award attracts more than 40,000 entries every year. To win a national ADDY, students must first compete at the local and then the regional level, before qualifying for the national competition. This year, University of Miami students won a total of 12 local ADDYs – 10 silver and two gold. Building Community Foundations: Career Advancement at the School of Communication

The blustery winds and threatening rain didn’t prevent students from attending the School of Communication’s Recruitment Pavilion, the first career fair organized by the Stein Family Office of Career Services, featuring companies companies tailored specifically to SoC industries. University of Miami students and local community join together for PhilADthropy 2016

This past weekend marked the seventh annual PhilADthropy at University of Miami School of Communication. The 25-hour event consisted of 13 student teams creating advertising, marketing, branding, design, and public relations materials for local nonprofit organizations. PhilADthropy and AD Group organizers selected the organizations from more than 100 entries and also reached out to alumni and industry professionals to volunteer their time and talents.
