Investigative Reporter

WSVN has an opening in our Special Projects Department for an investigative reporter who is a compelling storyteller. The ideal candidate has a proven investigative track record and can find and tell stories that change lives. Digital Writer (2 positions)

Selected Candidate will assist The Cyber-Journalist/Producer in writing and entering data into the WSVN-TV website to make sure it has the latest news posted. Candidate must have excellent writing & grammar skills and be proficient in Windows 10. Applicant should also have a strong knowledge of Internet sites, and possess good web researching skills.

Investigative Producer

Seeking hands on self-starter for an Investigative and Consumer Producer position. Responsible for writing and gathering content and producing stories from concept to air. Must be able to establish contacts in the field, manage tips and public records requests, compose open records requests, and conduct interviews. Must have investigative experience, bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a TV news producer. Please provide link to resume reel.

Promotions Producer

South Florida’s #1 News Station, WSVN 7 is looking for a Promotion Producer to join our Creative Services team. Must have experience writing, producing and editing station image spots, news teases and commercials for clients. College degree preferred with skills in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, Photoshop and After Effects. Please include your demo reel and resume with your application.

Assignment Desk Assistant

Assists the Assignment Editor on the desk, monitors police and fire scanners, gathers information from police and fire agencies, dispatches news crews to stories, and assists reporters with setting up stories. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment, and have the ability to work well with others. Must have a proficiency in news writing. Some TV experience required. Must be proficient in Windows 10.

Writer – Dayside

Writes copy for newscasts and assists producers in the production of shows. This is an entry-level position, but applicants must have solid broadcast writing skills, be willing to work all hours, and want to learn the business from the ground up. Must be proficient in Windows 10. Our writers are considered for future producer openings, so those with a strong interest in producing should apply.

Post-Production/VIZ Editor

South Florida’s News Station, WSVN 7 is looking for a Vizrt Trio on-air operator to assist with the creation of Vizrt templates. Responsibilities include Viz Trio graphics playout for daily news shows, scripting scenes and templates, and troubleshooting issues with Vizrt scenes and systems as well as other broadcast graphics platforms. The candidate must be able to work under pressure during live shows, learn and adapt to new technology and software, problem solve and be able to meet deadlines on a daily basis. Knowledge of Adobe applications including Premiere Pro and After Effects running on MAC OS is required. In-depth P.C. and MAC system knowledge is Preferred.

On-Line – TIF 8AM Producer

We are looking for an aggressive, creative, on-line show producer. Should have medium market producing skills. Heavy emphasis on show stacking, headline and tease writing, as well as copy editing. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to meet deadlines. A Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of two (2) years experience as a TV News Producer required. Must be proficient in Windows 7.

Reporter (2 roles)

Develops, researches and writes stories for broadcast on the air. Bachelor’s degree in journalism required. Minimum 2-3 years experience as a television news reporter required. Photographer

We are looking for a very aggressive photographer with good story telling abilities. Must have a good “news eye” for our fast paced news shows, be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines, as well as work well with others. Knowledge of Sony HD cameras and non-linear editing is a must. A minimum of 2-3 years experience and a valid class “D” drivers license is required.

Account Executive

WSVN7-ABC Miami the Sunbeam Television owned Fox and ABC affiliates in Miami, FL seeks a dynamic and energetic experienced Local Sales Account Executive to join our team of talented professionals. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of developing relationships with advertising agency buyers and planners as well as developing new business on both television and digital platforms. Strong negotiation skills, understanding of what it takes to run a project from start to finish and top-notch relationship building skills are a must. Knowledge of media programs OSI, Strata, Vivvix are a plus. Must be proficient in PowerPoint and Excel.

Account Executive

WSVN is looking for a Sales Account Executive to join our team in sunny South Florida. Duties include, but not limited to, developing sales strategies for new business development to advertising agencies and clients. Research emerging businesses to build a pipeline of potential new clients. Cultivate client relationships to enhance WSVN’s position in the marketplace. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and have an understanding of Nielsen. Media sales experience preferred.
