Fall 4C Pilot Grants Awarded

Winston Warrior, a double alumnus, joins the Department of Journalism and Media Management after working for more than 20 years in the marketing industry. A new student-run consultancy is ready to take on clients at University of Miami School of Communication. Orange Umbrella Student Consultancy recently opened, offering an array of services to clients including public relations, advertising, interactive media, film production, research, and web design. Stano Recognized with SND Lifetime Achievement Award

Randy Stano, professor of practice in the Department of Journalism and Media Management at University of Miami School of Communication, has added the Society for News Design’s 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award to his long list of accomplishments.  This past November, Stano attended the Associated Collegiate Press Conference where Sara Quinn, outgoing president for the Society of News Design (SND), invited him for an early morning breakfast. Communication Meet-Up a Success for Students and Employers

Last week, more than 160 University of Miami School of Communication students, faculty, and alumni filled the Frances L. Wolfson courtyard to mingle with industry leaders and network with specialists in film, multimedia, design, public relations, journalism, and various other communication fields.  Students met with representatives from more than 20 organizations including ESPN, Yahoo, and Fox News. PhilADthropy is Back Helping Local Nonprofits

Beginning at 11 a.m. on February 10, students of all majors will embark on a journey most others will never experience. FilmGate Interactive Media Festival Coming to UM

Uniting groundbreaking technology with interactive storytelling, FilmGate Interactive Media Festival is coming to University of Miami School of Communication for a three-day immersive conference. SoC Unveils Two New State-of-the-Art Centers

University of Miami School of Communication ushered in the interactive age with the dedication of two new centers on Friday, December 2. The school officially opened the Koenigsberg & Nadal Interactive Media Center and the Robert & Lauren Mann Broadcast Center in a unique ceremony emphasizing interaction and technology.
