NATPE Internship: Insights from One SoC Student

Every year, the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) offers a competitive internship program that allows selected students to attend the conference and develop a greater knowledge of the television buying and distribution processes. Dean Lyon: In Pursuit of Visual Effects Creation

On Wednesday, February 15, Dean Lyon, founder and CEO of Splinter Studios, discussed the past, present, and future state of visual effects (VFX) and computer graphics in motion picture and television production with members of the Media Management Association. On Wednesday, November 30, Lynn Carrillo, Vice President, Legal, NBCUniversal News Group and University of Miami School of Law graduate, spoke to members of the Media Management Association about the role of sexual harassment in the modern workplace, especially within the media industry. SoC Unveils Two New State-of-the-Art Centers

University of Miami School of Communication ushered in the interactive age with the dedication of two new centers on Friday, December 2. The school officially opened the Koenigsberg & Nadal Interactive Media Center and the Robert & Lauren Mann Broadcast Center in a unique ceremony emphasizing interaction and technology.
