Barbecue Unites Alumni and Students for Homecoming

By Emily Young On Friday, Nov. 8, students, alumni, faculty, staff, and family gathered in the School of Communication courtyard to catch up and enjoy a barbecue. To public relations and political science senior Allison Novack, C-SPAN is the best of many worlds— a media outlet with a public service mission in government. When she was offered an internship with the network over the summer, she leapt at the opportunity. As Commencement Nears, Canfield Clan Celebrates Another ’Cane

Molly Canfield started wearing University of Miami-themed apparel as a 10-year-old growing up in the South. Call for Entries: Wine Spectator Foundation Competition To Award Up To $50,000 For Student Projects

The Wine Spectator Foundation will award up to $50,000 to School of Communication undergraduate and graduate students for projects about wine, food, restaurants, travel or tourism. Such projects may include, but are not limited to, a video or short documentary, news or feature writing, a press kit, an advertising project, a graphic design project, a photography portfolio, multimedia (website) or a scholarly paper. NBC makeup artist Ana Limonchi visited students from CEM 517, 317 and 233 Monday afternoon, March 31 to give a talk and demonstration on "Studio and Field makeup in the Age of HD."
