Overview

We are seeking film, media, or digital production students to assist with filming and basic post-production of a professionally produced podcast. This role is designed to support students seeking hands-on production experience for academic credit, practicum requirements, or portfolio development.

Students will work in a real-world production environment and gain experience across camera operation, lighting, audio support, and basic editing.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on skill level and programme requirements, responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with podcast filming (single or multi-camera setup)
  • Camera operation and framing
  • Basic lighting setup and adjustments
  • Audio setup assistance (mic checks, monitoring)
  • Supporting live or recorded podcast sessions
  • Basic post-production tasks (cutting, syncing audio, exporting)
  • Setting up and breaking down equipment

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently enrolled in a film, television, media, journalism, or digital production programme
  • Interest in video production, podcasting, or content creation
  • Reliable, organised, and comfortable working on set
  • Basic understanding of cameras, audio, or editing software (training can be provided)
  • Seeking verified hours, practicum, internship credit, or portfolio work
