Founder and CEO of Digital Content Group and former University of Miami School of Business Administration adjunct professor, Jay Scharer, spoke to students of the Media Management Association (MMA) Wednesday evening at UM’s School of Communication. His presentation, “Becoming a Media Entrepreneur,” encouraged students to ask themselves “Is this what I want?”
Starting in the spring semester of 2016, selected senior and junior students majoring in motion pictures or media management will have the opportunity to gain professional experience through a 14-week semester in Los Angeles.

On November 10, the Media Management Association welcomed UM graduate Kris Martin to talk about his experience at UM and how he has dived head first into the overwhelming world of media business. Martin graduated in 2012 majoring in Finance and minoring in Music Business. At the University of Miami, he worked with Hurricane Productions, booking such homecoming concerts as Whiz Khalifa and Diplo.
