Ibis and Distraction Receive National Awards

It was a celebratory spring break for the Ibis and Distraction staffs. Two Gold Crowns, one Best of Show, a Second Place for Best of Show, and two Apples were awarded between two national conferences. UMTV Wins 6 Awards Out of 10 NBS-AERho Nominations

UM senior Breana Ross was awarded the 2018 Global Citizen Award from a national study abroad company. Alumnus Inducted into AAF Advertising Hall of Fame

Bill Koenigsberg, B.B.A. ’77, can add one more award to his impressive collection. Later this year, he will be inducted into the American Advertising Federation’s Advertising Hall of Fame, one of the greatest recognitions an advertiser can receive. For the first time in over 15 years, two of UMTV’s weekly shows were nominated for the Television Academy Foundation 39th College Television Awards, one of the most prestigious honors for student production in the country. UM Debate Wins Tournament Championships in National Opener

The UM Debate team dominated its competition at the National Opener hosted by Georgia State University in Atlanta, one of the largest and most intensely competitive intercollegiate policy debate tournaments in the country.
