The Belafonte TACOLCY Center is seeking passionate and creative students to join our Media & Communications Internship Program. Work directly under our Communications Specialist to help document, highlight and share the stories that shapes the Liberty City Community.

Responsibilities:

• Capturing and producing event coverage through photography + videography  

• Collecting and curating community testimonials and success stories through interviews• Creating digital content for social media & marketing channels    

• Assisting with grant writing and narrative development  

• Supporting communications strategy to highlight youth programs and impact  

Program Details:

Who? Journalism, Communications and Marketing Students

When? 12- 16 weeks | 10-20 hrs./week |Flexible Scheduling

Where? In-person at the Belafonte TACOLCY or Partner agencies

Support? Orientation, supervision, reflections activities and a culminating presentation

Additional details:

Student will receive:

Weekly 1:1 mentorship with an experienced supervisor

Gain community & field experience in the realm of communications, media, web development + more

Work alongside youth programs and local events

Build a portfolio with real published work

Academic credit available (unpaid internship)

A branded certificate of completion and letter of

recommendation for exemplary service

Priority consideration for future job opportunities at TACOLCY for partner agencies

This position is ideal for students looking to:
