Your New Role 

We have multiple Creative Marketing internship opportunities available. By applying to this posting, you will be considered for all internship opportunities within this area. These internships will be located in the LA area. The selected interns will be expected to join us in the office on a regular cadence based on the intern managers in office schedule.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Work with the team to distribute film marketing assets.
  • Submit AV and Print advertising content to internal/external reviewers including the unions and networks
  • Help in the development of marketing strategy materials including but not limited to campaign timelines, briefs, marketing decks and presentations, etc.
  • Shaping and executing on marketing strategy and tactics from social media to paid media, and promotions and partnerships
  • Help coordinate internal comms as necessary
  • Help with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, taking meeting notes, maintaining project boards and trackers, etc.
  • Help in the development, creation, and execution of assets for Max Originals campaigns, covering the holistic 360 Creative Marketing and creation of Key Art, A/V (with our partners on the Marketing A/V team), Digital and Social Content
  • Track approval reporting, capturing the feedback resulting from those submissions of the content.
  • Assist in the organization and filing of a high-volume of assets with the department on basic research, fact-finding and tracking of trends for creative campaigns to develop a visual throughline
  • Assist the staff in organizing creative assets, creation of briefs and marketing decks, provide script coverage, as well as additional miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the team.
  • Work closely with social teams to develop social campaign strategies
  • Participates in Multicultural marketing strategy and campaign meetings.
  • Assists in the coordination of special events and projects as needed.
  • Assist marketing team with administrative tasks, strategy development, and creative development for original series across Max, Magnolia, and discovery+ titles.
  • Assist team in developing briefs to inform the overall campaign architecture
  • Help track location and distribution of creative assets

Qualifications & Experience

  • You’re a creative individual, adept at chiming in with commentary but also willing to listen and learn
  • Microsoft programs and Google Drive
  • You have a passion for storytelling, TV, streaming and movies
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You are a quick learner who is willing to “get your hands dirty” and also bring an enthusiasm for sharing your knowledge
  • You are digitally savvy with an understanding of content streamers and social media platforms
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing and/or communications field
  • Thorough attention to detail
  • A desire to learn more about marketing from a 360 perspective
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with team
  • Ability to work well under time constraints.

Essentials needed for the positions that are similar across the above roles (these do not all have to apply to every single role)  

  • Must be actively enrolled in a U.S. accredited college or university degree program for the full duration of the internship (proof of enrollment required)
  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior *Undergrad* Student (18 years or older) 
  • Must be in academic good standing (3.0 or above GPA)

And finally, what to know before applying: 

  • The duration of the summer program regardless of which start/end option is 11 weeks.  Program date options are below:
  • Option 1: June 3rd – August 16th  
  • Option 2: June 10th – August 23rd  
  • Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week in a hybrid capacity.  
  • Our internships are paid opportunities with a competitive hourly wage. Credit is not required; however, we will provide the necessary documentation for school credit if desired. Relocation is not provided.  
  • Interviewing will take place from February through mid-April. A WBD team member will contact you if your experiences and interests match an open internship position. Due to the high volume of applications, we are unable to give individual status updates. 

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The rate listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $19 per hour USD for undergrad interns, $25 per hour USD for graduate level interns.
