We are looking for a dynamic and creative intern who can contribute to our team in several key areas. This position is perfect for someone passionate about black art and culture and interested in gaining hands-on experience in a virtual museum setting.
Start Date: We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible, with a target start date in late August or early September 2024.
Length of Internship Program: The internship is designed to last for a semester (approximately 3-4 months), with the possibility of extension depending on performance and organizational needs. Starting pay at $15/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Basic Copywriting:
- Produce weekly artist features for our newsletter.
- Research and craft engaging content using our existing templates.
- Interest and Curiosity about Contemporary Art of the African Diaspora and Africa:
- A strong interest in contemporary art of the African diaspora and Africa
- Design Sensibility:
- Have a great eye for design
- Assist with graphic designs. with some experience using tools like Canva
- Work with graphic design agency
- Assist with updating existing designs
- Digital Marketing:
- Assist with digital marketing initiatives, including email copywriting and social media content.
- Conduct marketing research.
- Interactive Media and Film
- Assist with screenings of art documentaries and virtual reality art exhibitions
- Assist with surveys of attendees
