The School of Communication and Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas (UMIA) are delighted to announce the creation of the Distinguished Graduate Fellows program in Communication for Global Health and/or Sustainable Development.

These awards are open to all Ph.D. and M.F.A. students in the School of Communication. Students who have received a Distinguished Graduate Fellowship in Global Communication may apply for this award, knowing that SoC graduate students may receive a total of two distinguished global fellowships during the course of their studies.

Proposals may address any issue in Global Health and/or Sustainable Development through communication research, arts or professional practices.

These one-time, $4000 non-salary awards, will be made in support of academic research, development and production of creative work, and/or travel related to these efforts.

An information session to develop ideas and answer questions will be held on Feb. 3. The application deadline is Feb. 21, 2022.
