SoC Grad Films Documentary on Colombian Peace Process

University of Miami School of Communication alumnus Noah DeBonis, B.A. ’10, M.F.A. ’13, has embarked on a journey to film the reintegration process of former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) guerrillas into Colombian society. The country had the opportunity to end its civil war, which has lasted more than five decades, by signing a peace treaty with the FARC guerrillas. UM Debate Team Wins American Debate Association Fall Championship

From November 11-13, members of the University of Miami Debate Team were in Pennsylvania for the American Debate Association Fall Championship Tournament hosted by Clarion University. The team of Julia Lynch and Adam Kozloski took first place in the Novice Division. In semifinals, Lynch and Kozloski defeated the United States Naval Academy and then faced the University of Minnesota in finals to win the tournament.
