Job Summary

The Social Media Manager will be tasked with building and enhancing dr.brandt® social media platforms by building brand awareness, driving online growth, and developing an interactive relationship between the online consumer and the brand. This person will bring a knowledge and passion of popular social media platforms and producing engaging, relevant and fun social content.

Responsibilities include strategizing and managing monthly social calendars, creating short form clips/gifs, coordinating content with brand ambassadors and influencers, and social listening. Position will with closely with other teams and departments including public relationship, influencer relations, digital marketing, and eCommerce. Reports to Sr. Director, Ecommerce & Digital Marketing.

About The Role

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to oversee, execute and measure the drbrandt and the drbrandtfoundation social media strategy, grow our social media presence and own the day-to-day operations of our social channels (currently Twitter,Youtube, Instagram,TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook)

Reporting to the Head of e-commerce & Digital, you’ll join a highly-collaborative team focused on developing and shaping our digital presence. You will play a meaningful role in setting and driving the social media strategies for the drbrandt skincare line and the drbrandt foundation brand, campaigns, and events.

Our ideal candidate lives and breathes social media. They understand the strengths and weaknesses on each platform, what content performs well, and how to take people from followers to engaged community members. The role requires an understanding of social media strategy, content marketing, community management, data-driven copywriting, and digital marketing.

This candidate is committed to understanding and articulating our mission and programs to our main audiences and is excited to learn about the tech for good space. In a given week, you will write social copy, plan out an editorial calendar, and use data to optimize our strategy to drive brand awareness and engage our community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

  • Ability to create and manage a multi-platform content calendar that aligns with marketing calendar product launches and campaigns.
  • Ability to work on both organic and paid social media initiatives
  • Ideating and developing custom content including short form videos and/or photos for multiple social and digital platforms including Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Pinterest that drive follower growth and engagement.
  • Lead community management across existing social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Tik Tok, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Oversee day-to-day community engagement.
  • Execute daily caption copy and copy for other social assets.
  • Identify and track relevant metrics of success, reporting on community engagement and traffic.
  • Oversee all reporting and social analytics to ensure strategies are tracking towards KPIs.
  • Prioritizing social listening and reporting on competitor analytics.
  • Develop visual styles that fit and elevate the brand’s core messaging.
  • Understand and respond to testing metrics and optimization efforts based on performance data to define and continuously improve the direction and execution of creative ideas.
  • Effectively and proactively managing your time, deliverables and deadlines with transparency.
  • Researching and staying on top of skincare, pop culture trends.
  • Being a positive influence and building team enthusiasm.

Education/Experience:

  • 3-4+ years’ experience in organic social media, digital (paid ads) or community strategy across multiple platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, YouTube, and other social platforms.
  • 1-3+ years of content creation experience including graphic design and video shooting and editing.
  • A portfolio of work which demonstrates your ability to turn raw ideas into beautiful and compelling content.
  • A proven track record for building and scaling a community, preferably in a beauty or lifestyle industry.
  • Results oriented, with the ability to provide strategic recommendations based on data.
  • Ability to successfully perform in a fast-paced environment, while juggling multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Passion for social media, trends, and memes.  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with hyper attention to detail.

Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
