TelevisaUnivision Digital, Inc. (f/k/a Univision Interactive Media, Inc.) in Miami, FL seeks a full-time Social Media Editor responsible for managing and creating content for the Digital News team social media accounts and maximizing company engagement with public through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, among platforms.

Develop a social media distribution strategy to maximize digital and native content exposure, leveraging Univision’s extensive social media footprint. Work closely with the Executive Producers of Univision Network on-air shows, creating exclusive content parallel to the different show properties to develop engaging content and drive traffic to official websites while increasing audience awareness about those shows. Adapt network content for broadcast in main Univision digital site and social media platforms. Create exclusive multimedia content, from images to video, for social visual storytelling, adjusted to each social platform.

Work closely with production, digital and marketing teams to ensure alignment with editorial guidelines. Use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube and other audience analytics tools on a daily basis to determine audience reach. Communicate what’s trending online and help find sources and interesting topics for linear network digital news stories. Keep a close eye on social media metrics and weekly reports for campaign tracking and reporting needs.

Experiment with new formats for social media content creation. Engage with the audience by connecting to the social conversation. Promote, distribute and extend the reach of the assigned content outside the main site. Design graphics in varying formats for social media.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Communications, Journalism, or related field plus 2 years of experience in the occupation or as an editor.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish.
  • Must have experience in the digital and social media publishing industry.
  • Must have experience in consumer engagement identification.
  • Must be well versed with Adobe Premiere Pro, AVID and Final Cut.
