Established in 2006 by Craig Minassian, Minassian Media is an award-winning strategic communications and content development firm with an expertise in helping global organizations with socially conscious missions generate attention and engagement. We provide strategic counsel, PR/marketing, and research for major international non-profits, global health and development organizations, and private sector clients in tech and media/entertainment.
Job/Intern Description: Assisting staff with research or projects for clients such as creating issue briefings, developing media lists, taking/compiling notes from client meetings, drafting press releases, blogs and backgrounders for interviews, drafting social media and digital content, media monitoring and analysis, scheduling and organizing meetings
Qualifications: The successful candidate will have a strong writing, research and organization skills, great attention to detail, a professional demeanor, and demonstrated interest in our focus areas and the media.
- MMI clients include Bloomberg Philanthropies, Wikipedia, Paramount/Comedy Central (with a focus on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah), the Clinton Foundation/Clinton Global Initiative
- MMI has hosted interns from UM several times. Alumni of MMI have gone onto positions at major organizations such as NBC News, Facebook, Disney national political campaigns and international NGO’s.
- MMI has a small core staff based in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Tel Aviv with consultants in several other markets.
- The position is fully remote with an expectation of 15-30 hours of work per week; compensation will be $15 per hour; class credit can be given if the school allows. We currently have openings for a summer intern and a fall semester intern.
Days/Hours: Monday-Friday; 15-30 hours per week
