About the Role & Program:

WPVI-TV, a Disney/ABC–owned television station in Pennsylvania, is the most-watched television station in the Philadelphia Television market. WPVI’s evening news is one of the highest-watched evening broadcasts in the country!

The WPVI Technology team is responsible for crafting and maintaining the broadcast, IT, and newsroom systems that enable WPVI to create and deliver the news every day!

What You Will Do:

Every single day you will be rolling up your sleeves metaphorically and truly to get to the bottom of all problems we face. On some days you could spend time with our production teams to understand their workflows and then meet with engineers to propose and implement timesaving solutions. Then on the next day, you could work with a design engineer to put together an equipment list for a new studio build and ensure delivery will meet our needs.

As the intern you could be working with senior engineers and project managers helping to:

  • test new software deployments
  • develop training materials
  • tackle broadcast issues as they come up.

About the Role & Program:

WPVI-TV is an ABC-owned television station (OTVS) located in an innovative facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! The Marketing Department is an advertising powerhouse fueled by imaginative producers and artists. Our goal is to elevate the brands of 6abc and Action News, Philadelphia’s #1 source for news, covering Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and beyond!

What You Will Do:

You will have the opportunity to observe and participate in a fast-paced, hands-on, and creative operation that includes producing news, programming, and special events promos, implementing the graphic look for the station, as well as crafting content for 6abc.com and all of Action News’ social media platforms.

This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area from January 2026-June 2026.

As a Creative Marketing intern, you may:

  • Be involved in all facets of creative execution, from research and concept to pre and post-production
  • Learn to become a production whiz, by getting hands-on experience with writing, shooting, and editing promotional videos.
  • Create outstanding and fun video content for social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. Amplify our brand’s voice by dreaming up that next viral post.
  • Be an ambassador for the TV station, representing us at lively community events and activations.
  • Observe and act as a production assistant during marketing shoots, and assist with projects as needed

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship​
  • Be at least 18 years of age​
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization​
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program

Additional Information:

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Fully available for the duration of the internship, 20 hours each week from January 2026 through June 2026
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program​ in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work ​Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The pay rate for this role in Pennsylvania is $22.50 per hour.
