The Television Academy Foundation’s 2024 Summer Internship Program provides over 45 internships in over 20 different disciplines to college students nationwide. The program gives both undergraduate and graduate students in-depth exposure to professional television production during an eight-week, paid summer period in Los Angeles.

PLEASE NOTE: Internships may be in-person, hybrid or remote, depending on the opportunity, and are subject to change. As a condition of employment, the Academy Foundation requires all interns to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Reasonable accommodations will be considered.

Internships will take place February 5 – May 3, 2024. Interns must commit to working 13 consecutive weeks: (12) at 25 hrs and (one) at 20 hrs. Click here to read the Rules and Eligibility Requirements.

Interactive Media (New Media, Social)

Interactive media is a form of media convergence, adding data services to traditional television technology. It allows users to participate by inputting information via the internet, interactive television, or interactive telephony. Previous interns have been placed at companies such as Getty Images.

What to Expect:
Interactive Media Interns will be placed at a network, studio, or production company. Interns will receive an immersion into the creation of web, mobile, and digital content, or in the marketing of television and entertainment content on a digital and social level.

What You Bring:
In addition to the requirements for the Television Academy Foundation Internship program, the ideal candidate will have the following preferred qualifications:

  • Background coursework in TV, Film, Interactive Media Production, Creative Writing/Storytelling, Entertainment Marketing, and/or Communications
  • Familiarity with interactive technologies and social media platforms is a plus
