Department: Information Technology (IT)
Reports to: LVMH North America Chief Information Officer
Role & Responsibilities:
The LVMH North America Information Technology (IT) department is currently seeking a summer intern interested in supporting activities directly impacting the employees of LVMH Inc. and being part of activities that have an impact onto the LVMH Maisons here in the region. The IT intern will have an opportunity to elevate experiences of our LVMH Inc. employees by contributing to any project that focus on infrastructure, but also any project activities that focus on business applications that have an impact on business departments of Finance, Legal, HR & Compensation & Benefits. The IT intern would also have an exposure to our LVMH Maisons in the region, through events, small projects or assessments that we conduct to assist the IT departments of these Maisons, with whom we have developed strong relations. Additional responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
- Participate in the team’s activities / projects in the appropriate time frame. The selected candidate will shadow and assist to each subdepartment: OmniRetail, BackOffice / Business Applications, Infrastructure, Data & Analytics, & GenAI, and Governance.
- Participate in project lifecycle stages in some current projects, including participation in meetings with the business partners, IS&T professionals, data collection, documentation, testing.
- Develop and manage a small project related to a topic that aligns with our enterprise objectives, culminating in a presentation to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an Bachelor’s or MBA degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Digital Media, Information Systems, Business Innovation.
- Work experience in the field IS&T, preferable in a retail, fashion, or CPG company.
- Previous experience interacting with both IS&T staff and business representatives.
- Results oriented and driven towards concrete deliverables and impact.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as solid interpersonal skills
- Strong passion for, or experience in, the retail and luxury sector or CPG industry, with a particular interest in how emerging technologies can redefine the consumer experience.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and excited about the prospect of shaping undefined paths.
