The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics (HIHG) provides college students an opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for individuals interested in gaining work experience with a non-profit, health and biomedical research organization.

Participants are provided with an opportunity to:
- Gain important and practical job skills to be successful in a non-profit environment.
- Complete a program that enriches your academic and professional resume as well as enriches your personal life by making a difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with designing and creating visual assets, such as marketing materials, social media graphics, and website layouts.
- Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and execute design concepts for various projects.
- Help maintain and organize the design team’s files, design systems, and assets.
- Participate in design critiques and provide feedback on design projects.
- Complete other design-related tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
- Blog, social media, and slide deck/docs imagery.
- Graphic designs for print, advertising, and swag.
- Learn our illustration design style – This will be used to help with artwork creation and explorations.
