The Events Intern supports the planning and execution of events of various sizes and complexity!
We are based at the Disneyland Resort, but the internship may involve working on projects supporting other DX Communications Events businesses. As our intern, you will need to think strategically, possess project management skills, and be able to prioritize.
You will be responsible for being a collaborative partner that plans, develops, and produces sophisticated and high-profile physical and virtual events in support of the Disneyland Resort and the Disney Experiences segment. Your success will lie in the ability to demonstrate critical thinking and project management capabilities. Through close collaboration with our internal and external partners, you will be a group collaborator that develops events to drive outstanding results in alignment with business goals, objectives, and strategies!
What You Will Do:
- Be a collective participant in the conceptualization of events, programs, and business-driving projects
- Collaborate with both internal and external partners to help develop and implement a varied level of events
- Provide on-the-ground support throughout the event development process including event execution
- Establish collaborations across the company that represent a vast array of teams
- Make valuable contributions to the success of the team by assisting in developing, updating, and prioritizing key project/event planning documents such as agendas, achievements, itineraries, tracking grids, presentations, and more

- Strong proficiency and skill in Microsoft Office and the capability to learn new and existing software programs & applications
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication proficiency
- Proficient with technology and willing to work with multiple forms of communication (i.e., Teams)
- Flexible, as schedules could occasionally include nights or weekends
- Ability to meet physical demands for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Should have a passion for the Disney brand and culture
- Possess knowledge and experience working within the events space
- Demonstrate curiosity about the current media landscape and how it drives reputation and business results
- Exhibit a desire to participate in creative storytelling through event design and guest experiences
Education:
- Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
- Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior or recent graduates within 6 months of graduation date preferred
- Major or previous coursework in Events, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related major
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
- Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
- Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
- Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- The approximate dates of this internship are January 2025 through June 2025
- Fully available from Monday – Friday including some nights/weekends for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, CA area
- Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
