Program Overview:
The Sallie Mae Internship program seeks to attract and develop exceptional early talent while adding value to our organization. Our goal is to tie academic learning into a practical business setting while fostering professional and personal growth within a student’s area of focus.
Over the course of the semester, interns will gain exposure to senior leaders, attend meetings, work alongside mentors, and receive valuable performance feedback.
What You’ll Contribute:
We’re looking for a creative and motivated writing intern to join our team and get real experience in brand content creation. You’ll work closely with our awesome writers, designers, and video team to improve your skills and help produce content for our website and social media.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to write in different styles for different audiences
- Creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Passion for writing and storytelling
- Experience with social media is a plus

What You’ll Do:
- Work with our team to develop and improve your writing skills
- Create high-quality content for our website and social media
- Write, revise, and edit content for our blog
- Research, brainstorm, and share your ideas on our various content products

What You Have:
Minimum education, skills and experience required.
Education:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
- Open to rising seniors
- Maintains a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Experience:
- Available to work up to 40 hours per week between 6/02/25 and 8/22/2025 – Summer
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills with individuals at all levels
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and web-based applications
- Strong follow through, multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail
- Local candidates required (hybrid)
