| Job/Intern Description: | We are looking for interns to earn college credit while interning in our Social media & Blogging department. The NotForgotten internship will teach you how to successfully write and promote blogs and work on building social media following. We have just had a highly successful internship with a UofM student and want to keep the program running! We are seeking a social media Intern, who is full of creative ideas, a powerful story teller, a talented writer, excellent at researching and is willing to be one of the writers of NotForgotten and our partners. It is a unique experience to learn what it is like to work in a start-up environment and in the consumer ecomm industry (this is an unpaid internship) with a product in a brand new category that has mass emotional appeal. Responsibilities will include: Publishing blogs every two weeks (around 2000 words). Any blogs you write will be published in your own name on our Medium blog. Every alternate week you will spend your time utilizing SEO and backlinking best practices to help promote the blog posts (past and present), and will be promoting the blogs on social media. The topics of the blogs are story and review based and will be built for consumption by our core audiences and their audiences (so B2C, B2B2C). They may occasionally extend to scripts for vlogs, e-books, press releases. Due to the pandemic circumstances, the internship will be completely virtual. We expect each intern to be able to commit to about 8-12 hours a week a week and attend regular tri-weekly meetings of thirty minutes each. |
| Qualifications: | Requirements: – evidence of blog / story based writing skills -Current enrollment in a writing-related BS/BA or Masters university/college -Solid understanding of blogging and social media -Excellent written communication skills -Passion for English, writing, and best practices Ideal but not essential: • Blogging or Social Media Marketing: 1 year (Preferred) • Social Media Marketing: 1 year (Preferred) |
