The Social Media Specialist will play a pivotal role in the success and growth of NCL’s social media and influencer marketing team. Responsibilities will include performing community management across various social media platforms, utilizing social listening tools to track, research, and report on current social trends, and contributing to content ideation and creation to help drive awareness and engagement of the NCL brand.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform daily community management across all social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
- Engage real-time with consumers who interact with brand social channels in positive conversations, relevant trends and cultural conversations.
- Maintain social response matrix and community management playbook and guide new team members through social listening process.
- Assist in writing social media copy for platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, TikTok & Instagram.
- Assist with the development of social media content ideas and tactical implementation.
- Manage tools and resources to search, save and organize user-generated content.
- Schedule and publish content on a weekly basis using social media platforms.
- Ensure quality assurance of all scheduled social media content to ensure posts are accurate before deployment.
- Leverage social platforms and social listening tools to track, research and report on current social media trends and competitive activity in the social space on a consistent basis.
- Assist the team with all aspects of the organic social and influencer marketing programs, including but not limited to: content ideation, creation, performance reporting, and influencer vetting/outreach.
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor’s Degree
FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Business, Marketing, Communications or any equivalent of education and/or work experience.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2 years’ experience in communications, marketing or advertising roles.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
- Knowledge of, experience with and passion for social media landscape with demonstrated ability to keep abreast of trends.
- Understanding of how the following platform algorithms work, and how to maximize engagement: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, TikTok.
- Knowledge of or demonstrated experience with Social Media Management Systems and other social reporting/monitoring tools.
- Interest in creative production & development.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills to effectively interact with management, cross-functionally and with vendors.
- Strong decision-making skills to help effectively and efficiently execute campaigns.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
