Moss’ Senior Marketing/Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in telling our story and expanding our reach. This role is a unique blend of creative expression and strategic execution. Candidates will work on a dynamic team with exposure to multiple aspects of the business. You’ll have the opportunity to partner hand-in-hand with our Operations teams to develop communications that underscore our construction industry leadership. As part of our national Strategy, Marketing, and Communications team, you will contribute to various initiatives with your skill for writing and your eye for visual design.
Responsibilities involve: crafting engaging presentations to support operational priorities, preparing compelling sales collateral to close deals, and coordinating effective marketing campaigns that resonate with our people. Positive mindset, attention-to-detail, and effective project management skills are all key to success in this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Craft narratives and supporting materials from start to finish to influence adoption of key campaigns
- Prepare compelling presentations for company leadership and executives (compose content, create slide graphics, curate photos, validate data, write speaker notes)
- Channel the Moss brand voice—ghostwrite executive communications that achieve operational priorities and leverage thought leadership opportunities
- Keep sales collateral fresh and relevant in order to convey Moss’ expertise to clients and partners (maintain SOQ, compile staff resumes, update project factsheets, expand narrative content)
- Periodically prepare pitch decks to win new projects. Support pursuit presentations and client prequalification requests in concert with Operations leads (Business Development, Estimating, Safety, Project Management, etc)
- Be an integral part of our national Strategy, Marketing, and Communications (SMC) team, contributing to various internal and external communications initiatives. Shape campaigns that resonate with and engage our people
- Champion company brand standards in order to maintain quality and consistency across all platforms
- Thrive as a marketing communications generalist who knows how to coordinate multiple tasks across diverse teams and carry them through completion
- Embrace opportunities to experiment with industry-leading technologies like AI and machine learning to improve SMC workflows
- Must be able to manage confidential information in a fast-paced environment
- Must have the ability to occasionally work evenings and weekends to meet project deadlines
- Role will have high exposure to multiple aspects of the enterprise, with a focus on supporting the Solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) division
- Perform other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or one-to-two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or related field
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail and design
- Passion for PowerPoint presentation development – affinity for weaving together words, data, and photos to tell impactful stories
- Ability to synthesize information, think analytically, and communicate clearly
- Prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred (InDesign, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator) or willingness to learn right away
- Published writing clips a plus
- Graphic design, multimedia layout, or data visualization skills a plus
