Our world is entering its Golden Years. By 2050, it is estimated there will be 1.5 billion senior citizens on the planet. Before enrolling in the MFA film program at the School of Communication a year ago, Luis Jose Galvis Diaz studied journalism in Bucaramanga, Colombia, and worked as a television producer, a radio commentator and a film critic. Less than 10 years after graduating from the film program, Kyle Patrick Alvarez made his debut at the Sundance Film Festival last January with C.O.G., a movie he wrote, produced and directed.The film, based on a piece from David Sedaris’ essay collection, Naked, was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize in the category of drama.
