About the Role & Program

The Programming department’s Mission is to create, acquire and schedule premier content to engage fans and maximize audiences on all platforms. We lead the development of sport strategies across the company and manage relationships with colleagues in other departments, as well as league partners and organizers. The approximate dates of this internship are January through May 2026.

What You Will Do

As an Intern, you will be part of Programming and Acquisition projects related to ESPN’s professional and college sports categories. You will work as a member of the Programming Department at large to contribute to the overall content scheduling strategy for ESPN across platforms and proactively contribute innovative ideas to continue to grow ESPN’s business. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting ratings research and scheduling across linear television and digital media networks
  • Developing presentations and communicating with various ESPN departments regarding programming initiatives
  • Assisting with the planning and scheduling of sporting events for college and professional sports and digital media

ESPN Digital Video Social Content Intern

About the Role & Program

The ESPN YouTube Team oversees the daily creation and curation of video content for ESPN-branded social channels. They produce videos, write headlines and evaluate stories and videos for accuracy, fairness and social/viral potential. The approximate dates of this program are January through May 2026.

What You Will Do

Interns will assist in tracking performance metrics and video analytics on ESPN platforms, enhancing the distribution model on all channels. You must have a commanding knowledge of search engine optimization, be organized, and be able to recognize unique and compelling content that will thrive in mobile/social environments. As an intern, you will develop an awareness of the operations of multiple ESPN units in order to collaborate successfully in identifying and/or developing up-to-the-minute video content optimized for multiple platforms and user needs. Responsibilities include:

  • Participating with teams internally and externally in the creation and distribution of content that best activates new audiences
  • Navigating digital social platforms and applying that expertise to expand reach, engagement, and distribution of content
  • Analyzing usage and performance metrics that can lead to content enhancements and improvements
  • Maintaining proficiency and knowledge in latest trends and best practices for video distribution on YouTube channels and ESPN Platforms
  • Producing, creating and editing videos. This will include headline writing, tagging, managing an overall style and voice and working with subject matter experts for specific content types

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.  
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • The approximate dates of this internship are January through May 2026
  • This internship is a remote position and requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace
  • Fully available from Monday through Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week. There may be some flexibility based on candidate’s academic schedule
