Position Description:
Weโre looking for an editorโs assistant to support post-production of a comedic short film shot in El Salvador, Finland, Miami, and Finland. There are only three requirements: a solid command of the editing functions on Adobe Premiere Pro, strong organization skills and a positive mental attitude. The objective for this project is two-fold: to produce a high-quality short film that will run on the festival circuit, and (more importantly) to have fun while making it. Tasks will include logging of footage, marking correct โtakesโ, assembling the master timeline, and assisting the editor with the mechanics of making the actual cuts. Additional tasks may also include assistance with other elements of the post-production process. Youโll also be given an Assistant Editor credit on the film. Start date is flexible (end late February or early March). Duration is 6-10 weeks. Pay is very competitive and will be based on skill level with Adobe and also overall film-making experience.
