Re:Public – is the new free speech, community engagement/local news platform. We are looking for community activists/citizen journalists to post articles about what is going on in their local communities. Local news reporting is nonexistent in most areas due to the many changes in the media landscape over the last decades.
Re:Public is working to recruit a dozen community activists/citizen journalists in every county in Florida as part of our launch. We will give these folks a free 1-year subscription to Re:Public so that they can report on what is going on in their communities.
Once we have people writing articles in every county in Florida we will initiate an extensive marketing campaign in the state to drive traffic to Re:Public and build the brand. We expect that people will use Re:Public on a regular basis to learn about local news/issues, Actions that they can take to help fix problems and learn about Events that organizations are holding.
In addition to the free subscription, we offer community activists/citizen journalists the opportunity to earn money from their work by soliciting donations which we would collect and pass along to them. This can become a significant source of income for community activists/citizen journalists.
As a citizen journalist, you will earn a free 1 year subscription to Re:Public ($180.00 value), in addition we support the monitezation of your work and will facilitate the syndication of your work to interested international media organizations.
