2019 Dolphin Entertainment Summer Internship Program in New York City

This past summer I had the opportunity to intern in my hometown of New York City with Dolphin Entertainment founded by Bill O’Dowd, adjunct professor for the Department of Cinema and Interactive Media (CIM). Dolphin is located on Third Avenue and shares the office of 42 West, an entertainment-based public relations firm. SportsDesk Wins Again

The University of Miami received two honors from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Suncoast Chapter: a win for UMTV and the opportunity to host the inaugural Suncoast Student Production Awards. MMA Award Winners Announced

An evaluation of the "cord-cutting" phenomenon, a viability study of virtual reality in sports and video entertainment, and an international analysis of over-the-top video services were the topics of the three winning entries of this year's Media Management Association (MMA) Awards. Cross Country ’Cane

California native Liat Cohen found her Miami experience to be collaborative and inspiring. A first-generation college student and the second daughter in a close-knit family, it was almost unthinkable for Liat Cohen to leave home. On April 10, the Media Management Association hosted Heidi Lieb, senior director of business development at WPBT, to talk about the mechanism and strategies used to sell public television underwriting messages. She came to the South Florida noncommercial television station with considerable sales experience in the private sector, including a three-year stint as an account executive at ESPN.
