Wolfson Building, 1021Dr. Patrick Johnson, Marquette University, examines how journalism has historically marginalized LGBTQIA+ communities, leaving gaps that still echo in how we understand the past and present. Drawing on research and teaching, this talk invites us to reckon with what has been lost and explore how to bring these specters into the light to find a more inclusive and equitable future for storytelling, especially for those in the LGBTQIA+ community.
