Internship opportunities available will either be hybrid, in-person (requiring an intern to work from Telemundo Center, Miami, FL 3 days per week) based on the location mentioned, or virtual, depending on business needs.
Qualifications
The Telemundo Programming department is responsible for content strategy, scheduling, and acquisitions for our linear networks, including the flagship Spanish-language broadcast network, Telemundo, Spanish-language cable network, Universo, and Telexitos. Much of this content feeds our digital platforms like the OneApp and Peacock, for next-day viewing.
This position will report to the Director of Programming. Our team reports to the EVP of Programming and Content Development, who reports directly to the President of Entertainment and content. In the summer of 2024, we are excited to be carrying the 2024 Paris Olympics, as well as extended news coverage leading up to the 2024 US Presidential Election, which will touch much of what we do in Programming.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with program planning/scheduling for monthly programming grids, including Telemundo’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics
- Create and distribute contingency plans for live events to share with operations teams
- Refresh and distribute Spanish Language Cable competitive insights documents
- Join weekly team meetings to get a scope of inter-departmental communications on a network
- Attend meetings with Media Planning, VOD, Insights, and Legal teams to understand how we work with other departments to reach our linear and digital ratings goals

- Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
- Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
- Must be working from within the United States during all hours worked.
The internship hourly rate for undergrad students is $17.00 and $25.00 for MBA or master’s degree..
