UM Students Win National DEA Red Ribbon Week PSA Contest

By: Jabria Roscoe University of Miami students Julie Erhardt and Julia Hecht are the winners of the national 2020 Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Red Ribbon Week Campus Video PSA Contest. The competition allows universities from across the nation to submit videos that promote the importance of stopping drug and alcohol abuse among college students. University of Miami Advances into Social Justice Debates Finals

On Feb. 19-21, the University of Miami Debate Team competed in the championship tournament of the 2020-2021 Social Justice Debates advancing to the final round. The Social Justice Debates aspire to promote productive and rigorous debates, challenging current and future thought leaders to consider issues of justice in relation to the distribution of wealth, opportunity, and privilege in U.S. society. UM’s Advertising Program has Historic Win at the Design & Art Direction New Blood Awards

By: Jabria Roscoe On July 9, several students in UM’s advertising program won “Pencils” at the Design and Art Direction (D&AD) New Blood Awards. ‘The Culture’ Makes UMTV History with First NATAS Nomination
