For more than 80 years, the nonprofit organization and its partners in advertising, media, marketing and tech have been behind some of the country's most iconic social impact campaigns – Smokey Bear, Friends Don’t Let Friends Drive Drunk, Tear the Paper Ceiling and many more.
The Raquel Zarin Summer Internship Program is a remote-first engagement and will run from June 1, 2026 – August 14, 2026. All interns will be paid $19/hour and are eligible to earn overtime. Ability to work East Coast hours is required.
Applications Due March 13, 2026
We’re looking for summer interns from around the country who will bring unique backgrounds, skills and perspectives to the Ad Council. Over the course of the internship, our interns will gain applicable work experience, contribute to real, client-facing projects, develop solid time management skills and learn how to maintain a healthy work/life balance.
You’re welcome to apply to multiple internship roles if more than one aligns with your interests and skills.
Once applications close, our hiring teams will begin reviewing submissions. You can expect to hear from us with an update by April. If a team would like to learn more about you, they’ll invite you to an initial interview to get to know you better and answer your questions. Offers will be extended during the week of April 20.

The team works to surround and support the Ad Council’s campaigns and causes through earned and social media, content development, talent and trusted messenger engagement, thought leadership and events. The Brand and Events intern will gain hands on experience, contributing to brand content and supporting the execution of key events. In addition to securing over $1B annually in donated media inventory on behalf of our public service ad (PSA) campaigns, the Mead Team works to develop strategic and custom partnerships with media companies that align with their Corporate Social Responsibility objectives. As an intern, you will work cross functionally to understand the critical role media plays in reaching our campaign target audiences and how we go about activating a campaign.
This intern will split their time between the Media Strategy & Engagement and Digital Marketing Center of Excellences reporting into one of our Media Engagement managers. The role also includes support of the PR team responsible for strategies that extend the reach and impact of our various national social impact campaigns through tactics such as messaging, media outreach and social media strategy, to uplift and amplify campaign messaging across a variety of media platforms

Interest or experience in market research, communications or marketing—either commercial marketing or social good marketing campaigns--is beneficial. 2026 Summer Session (Washington, D.C.) & Session II (National Offices) | Apps Due – Feb. 13

The Inter-American Commission has an internship program that is managed in conjunction with the OAS Internship Program. It gives young students and those recently graduated from the OAS Member States the opportunity to learn about the IACHR and work in applying the protection mechanisms provided by the inter-American human rights system. One of the benefits of this program is that after the internship, the acquired knowledge is used in the intern’s home country.
The IACHR has opportunities for Law students and recently graduated lawyers, as well as for students or recent graduates of international cooperation and fundraising, journalism, graphic design, computer information technology and translation.
The IACHR Press Office receives students and recent graduates in journalism, graphic design and Web design, offering the opportunity to learn and work in the promotion of human rights in the region.
In addition, the IACHR receives students and recent graduates in translation who can work in at least two of the four official languages of the OAS (English, Spanish, Portuguese and French), as well as computer information technology majors.
During the internship, the participants have the opportunity to work with the Executive Secretariat's professionals and staff on the various activities carried out by the IACHR. The specific assignments are given by the Executive Secretariat. The program has three sessions each year, with established dates. The internships are unpaid.
Over the years, dozens of young people have been interns or fellows at the IACHR. Many of them have gone on to defend human rights in their home countries, perhaps by representing victims of human rights violations, filing petitions and requests for precautionary measures with the Commission, advising civil society organizations that represent victims in the inter-American system, or working with government bodies and Ombudsmen’s Offices.
The knowledge these young students and attorneys acquire on how the inter-American system works, through their experience at the IACHR, plays a role in their professional development in international human rights law, and also has a multiplying effect that takes place when they return to their home countries.
Objectives
The objective of the internship is to provide law students and recent law school graduates (or other disciplines mentioned above) from OAS Member States the opportunity to learn about the Commission’s work. It is also an opportunity to acquire practical training in the area of human rights.
During the internship, the participants have the opportunity to work together with the lawyers of the Executive Secretariat in different activities that are carried out by the IACHR.
How to Apply
Interested applicants should apply via the OAS Internship Program web page where an electronic application is accessible during the open application periods, which are indicated on the Program’s web page.
In this electronic application please be sure to indicate your interest in the IACHR. It is important that applicants review the requirements for applying and upload all required documentation to the electronic form.
Information of Interest
The internship program is administered by the General Secretariat of the OAS and does not offer any payment or stipend.
The internship program has established dates and durations. For participants fulfilling a university requirement with a specific internship length, documentation from the university specifying the length is required.
For additional information please visit the Program’s web page.

About the Team: The Talent team is responsible for identifying, sourcing, and securing the celebrities, influencers, experts, real people, and internal editors who appear in native content across People Inc.’s lifestyle verticals. The team leads talent strategy and sourcing during the pre-sale process and manages negotiations, contracting, and ongoing coordination once programs are sold.
About the Role: The intern will support the Talent team across the full talent management workflow, from sourcing talent for RFP pitches to assisting with post-sale coordination. Responsibilities include shadowing team members through key processes such as RFP evaluation, talent selection, and on-set production during local NYC shoots. The intern will provide administrative support, contribute to social-media–driven creative projects such as trend spotting and developing a Gen Z creator roster.
Measurement Innovation
About the Team: Measurement Innovation team works every day on measuring campaign performance with third party partners as well as our own proprietary measurement. Their work helps not just prove that advertising with People Inc. works, but also provides insights into what is working and where there are opportunities for improvement. This nuance is important, as it is a critical piece of motivating additional spend from our partners--we don't just perform, we help you understand your consumers and reach them even better in the future.
About the Role: In this internship, you will help measure digital media performance across metrics such as brand awareness, consideration, foot traffic, and sales. You will own studies from start to finish—defining what to measure, setting up tagging and tracking, analyzing results, and delivering clear, insight-driven reporting. You will also join internal and client meetings to understand how measurement informs broader business decisions, with structured support to build your skills and confidence along the way.
Lifestyle Brand Marketing
About the Team: The Lifestyle Brand Marketing team shapes how People Inc.’s brands show up in the market by creating editorially driven go-to-market materials, developing and executing tentpole programs, and collaborating with editorial teams to build strategic revenue-driving opportunities for advertising partners across print, digital, and event platforms. Working closely with Editorial, Sales Marketing, Events, and the Digital & Print Sales teams, the Lifestyle Brand Marketing team ensures these programs are impactful and aligned across the organization.
About the Role: In this role, the intern will gain hands-on experience in how media programs are developed, marketed, and sold across editorial and revenue teams. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn how brand positioning and advertiser needs come together to form strategic marketing programs for some of the most influential Home & Parents brands in the industry, including: Better Homes & Gardens, REAL SIMPLE, Southern Living, Parents, The Spruce, Martha Stewart, Daily Paws, and The Spruce Pets.
As the Home & Parents Lifestyle Brand Marketing Intern, you will observe cross-department collaboration by shadowing senior team members and contribute to core activities such as identifying relevant social trends, participating in brainstorms for new offerings, creating slides for programs, and supporting the management of tentpole initiatives and special projects. In this role, you will also deepen your understanding of editorial workflows, event planning, and how brand positioning is shaped for advertisers.
Better Homes & Gardens - Social Media
About the Team: Better Homes & Gardens is the go-to resource for fresh takes on home, food, and gardening, with an emphasis on enjoyment, not perfection. We inspire people to bring their dreams to life at home on special occasions and every day! The BHG editorial team has extensive industry experience and we are as passionate about our homes and home projects as our readers are. Our team is comprised of savvy editors and writers who have their finger on the pulse—we’re always ready to share our interpretation of the latest TikTok recipe or predict the newest design trend.
About the Role: As a Better Homes & Gardens Social Media Intern at People Inc., you will help support the social media team in planning, producing, and posting content on key social media platforms. Learn about analytics and share wins or misses during team meetings. Work directly with a legacy brand and have an opportunity to create social content, assist in cross-team collaboration, and present performance data to continue to drive engagement and brand loyalty for BHG audiences. When applying, please include a social media handle that you currently or in the past have had an impact on!
Programmatic Revenue
About the Team: The Programmatic Revenue Marketing team supports the exciting and rapidly developing Programmatic and Retail Media Sales organizations of People Inc. by developing go-to-market materials such as sales collateral and responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).
About the Role: As a member of the Programmatic team, the intern will be in a unique position to interact with all advertising categories and Advertising Operations teams across the organization. In this role, the intern will support the Programmatic Revenue Marketing team in developing marketing materials that span concept creation through final execution.
They will assist in crafting go-to-market assets, sales collateral, and proposal submissions, gaining exposure to the advertising sales process as well as the ad-tech, data, and AI capabilities that underpin our advertising solutions. The intern will also contribute to a cross-category keystone project that demonstrates their ability to translate business needs into effective marketing outputs.
