Studios and Equipment
Our state-of-the-art broadcast center, home to two fully equipped digital television studios and control rooms, has trained many renowned television professionals. Students also benefit from the Equipment Room, stocked with cameras, mics, and essential journalism gear.
Student Media and Organizations
Engagement with student media organizations like UMTV, WVUM, The Miami Hurricane, Distraction Magazine, and Ibis Yearbook allows students to enhance their skillsets and build impressive portfolios.
National and Global Reporting
Students gain international reporting experience through immersive fieldwork and collaborations with media outlets, enhancing their investigative journalism skills and cultural competencies in communication.
