Why does ProPublica's Emerging Reports Program exist?

- Students from groups that are traditionally underrepresented are especially encouraged to do so.
- Applicants who demonstrate financial need
We look for students who:
- Demonstrate an early dedication to journalism as a career, through internships, work at local news outlets or work at campus publications.
- And where those opportunities--which are often unpaid-- aren't accessible, we look for other ways the student has shown an eagerness and drive to learn the craft.
This program is open only to students who are eligible to file U.S. taxes and are able to provide a completed W-9 form, including U.S. citizens or U.S. residents.

Fall 2026 OLIPOP College Brand Ambassador | Miami, FL

As an OLIPOP College Brand Ambassador, you’ll become the heartbeat of OLIPOP on your campus—sparking curiosity, excitement, and genuine connection around a soda that’s rewriting the rules. OLIPOP isn’t just another drink; it’s a delicious, refreshing soda crafted with real ingredients, gut-friendly fiber, and a mission to make healthy choices accessible and fun for everyone.
You’ll introduce your peers to a beverage that’s as nostalgic as it is innovative—one that delivers the classic soda experience people love, but with a modern twist: less sugar, more fiber, and science-backed benefits. Your role is to ignite brand awareness and inspire trial, turning OLIPOP into the go-to drink for students who want to feel good about what they’re sipping.
As the face of OLIPOP, you’ll host vibrant campus events, collaborate with student organizations, and create buzzworthy social content that captures the spirit of our brand. You’ll be part of a movement that’s not just about soda, but about building a healthier, more connected campus community—one can at a time.
Note: We're selecting multiple Brand Ambassadors at some universities. If you know friends who would be interested, share this job and encourage them to apply – you might get to work together!
Timeline: This opportunity runs through the Fall 2026 semester/quarter.
BENEFITS
- Earn a $1,200 stipend for successful completion of your program deliverables. Payouts for completed deliverables are processed every two weeks via PayPal or Venmo.
- Additional opportunities to earn cash bonuses throughout the program
- Receive free OLIPOP merch/swag to use at your activations & wear around campus
- Enjoy a fun, flexible opportunity you can shape around your busy college schedule
- Gain valuable entrepreneurial experience in marketing and communication
RESPONSIBILITIES
Over the course of the Fall 2026 semester/quarter, you'll complete the following program deliverables:
- Distribute ~2,000 12oz OLIPOP cans. You will distribute samples through a combination of tabling events and student organization product drops.
- 5 TikTok Posts - the best content may receive additional promotion, giving you greater visibility and the opportunity to grow your social media following.
- 2 Instagram Posts - IG static in-feed posts + carousels and/or Reels
- 5 Instagram Stories
In addition to the tasks above, you will also be responsible for the following:
- Join a virtual training call and scheduled program support calls to set you up for success
- Stay in touch with the EvolveZ team via Slack to report work progress throughout the program
- Capture & submit picture and video content throughout the program
- Encourage those who receive a product sample to opt-in for OLIPOP emails

- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be a currently enrolled college student, on campus this upcoming Fall 2026 semester/quarter (September – December 2026)
- Should not promote or create content for other beverage brands during the program, as this dilutes your effectiveness as an OLIPOP advocate. Disclose other brand partnerships to EvolveZ during the program.
- This is a paid, project-based 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity. You must be legally eligible to work in the US (US Citizens or Permanent Residents).
- Passionate about event planning, social content creation & promotion, and being a trendsetter for new products amongst your peers. Added bonus if you already love OLIPOP!

Trusted Creator Fellowship | News Creator Corps | Remote – DUE Aug. 17

Trusted Creator Fellowship | News Creator Corps | Remote – DUE Aug. 17

News Creator Corps’ Trusted Creator Fellowship is a short-term program providing partnership and training to U.S.-based information providers who want to level-up their connection to their communities. The fellowship teaches tactical skills like fact-checking, sourcing, and interviewing to ensure the creators are disseminating accurate information.
Who would benefit most from this program?
We’re looking for independent creators who provide a service to their community, whether that’s restaurant openings, public health information, parenting discussions, or local stories. If you create content that informs or connects people, this program will teach you the tactical skills to ensure you are disseminating accurate information.
Creators only need an engaged following on a digital platform (i.e. Instagram, TikTok, Twitch, Substack, YouTube, etc.), and a focus on providing information-based services to a specific community.
For the Fall 2026 cohort, we are reserving three seats for current college students. See below for more information.
Who would not benefit from this program?
Traditional news reporters and journalists who have learned about fact checking, FOIA requests, interviewing skills, sourcing, and other news reporting skills would likely not benefit from this cohort.
What should I expect?
Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on August 17, 2026. Applicants will be notified by the end of September.
The cohort will meet virtually once a week from roughly October 5 to December 18 and will put what they are learning into practice on their channels. Class participants will have access to discussion forums with their cohort, trainers, and NCC staff and alumni. Creators who complete the program will receive a $5,000 stipend.
Can students apply?
We are reserving three seats in the fall 2026 cohort for full-time college students 25 or younger.
We want to reach creators earlier and equip them with the skills to serve their communities from the start. College-aged creators also reach audiences that the rest of our network often doesn’t: people in their late teens and early twenties who are forming their information habits right now. That’s an audience worth investing in.
College students will go through the same fellowship experience as every other member of the cohort.
Not sure where you fit in? Apply and tell us about what you’re creating. If you have questions, please email creatorprogram@newscreatorcorps.org.

Zmode.com is an AI-powered platform that helps small businesses automate their operations. We are launching nationwide out of Miami and need 1-2 marketing interns to help execute the go-to-market strategy across content, events, and lead generation.
This is not a "schedule posts and write captions" role. You will be embedded in the launch of a real SaaS product with paying customers, working directly with the founding team.
What you would be doing:
- Helping execute a multi-channel content rollout across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Facebook (English and Spanish accounts)
- Assisting on video production days around Miami (founder interviews, mini documentaries at local businesses, a LinkedIn positioning video targeting VCs and the tech space) - Cutting short-form clips from long-form video for distribution
- Building and managing landing pages for lead capture
- Coordinating email and WhatsApp outreach to prospects and event signups
- Tracking campaign performance across paid and organic, reporting what's working and what's not
- Supporting paid ad campaigns on Instagram and Facebook (audience targeting, creative, budget tracking)
- Helping plan and run live events in October: an in-person workshop in Miami and two online events (EN + ES)
- Competitor and market research as needed
What we are looking for:
- Someone who thinks about marketing as a system, not just content
- Comfortable with video editing (CapCut, Premiere, or similar)
- Familiar with how IG, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn actually work as acquisition channels
- Can write copy that sounds like a person, not a template
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus but not required
- Has made something on their own: a portfolio, a brand, a project, a page that got traction
- Self-starter who figures things out without waiting for instructions
You will leave this internship with portfolio-ready work from an actual product launch, not a folder of busywork.
Paid position. Eligible for academic credit if your institution allows it. Portfolio-ready content from a live SaaS product launch. Letter of recommendation based on performance.
To Apply
Email careers@zmode.com with the subject line "UM Content Intern [Your Name]".
Include your resume, a link to any content you have made (portfolio site, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, anything), and 2-3 sentences on why you want this specific internship.
