The goal of our internship program is to provide exposure and hands-on experience in “all things” Hospitality. This is an unpaid/for college credit only internship program … and is designed for both Undergraduate and Graduate students who are eager to gain practical experience with a reputable Hospitality Group in the following field/area of study:

G&L – Marketing / Social Internship

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Extremely detail-oriented
• Fluency in digital programs such as Google Suite, Canva, Later.com, Adobe, Slack, CapCut or similar video editing software, etc.
• Willingness to learn

Responsibilities & Learning outcomes include, but are not limited to:

• Creative copywriting across multiple mediums, including social, web, email, etc.
• Conduct community management and fan acquisition across social media accounts, with a focus on growing and community building
• Own admin work including:
  • Monthly top-line analytics reporting
  • Newsletter building
  • Company website updates
  • Asset management and organization (Dropbox, photos, videos, decks, etc.)
• Coordinate influencer lists, outreach, and management when needed
• Create social media plans for new company properties, partners, etc.
• Ideate creative plans for in-progress company social initiatives
  • Reels, TikTok, etc.
• Attend meetings and participate in creative brainstorm sessions
• Manage multiple projects at once, seek guidance as needed, meet deadlines and accurately communicate progress and deliverables to team

Communications Intern (Part Time) | City of Weston, FL

Get to know the field of government communications. Work as a staff assistant within the City of Weston Department of Communications (employed through Municipal Technologies, LLC.)

Primary responsibilities include updating of documents as directed in multiple platforms; phone calls; writing and publishing news articles; special projects; photography; preparing of certificates and proclamations; maintaining storage inventory; radio script recording; community outreach at City events and miscellaneous office work as needed. 

Candidates can expect to learn and assist with:

• Developing, writing, and distributing approved social media campaigns across multiple platforms.
• Media relations
• Photography, including naming and cataloging of files and alternate tags for accessibility
• Writing newsletter articles
• Use of content management system (CMS) to publish articles and content on website
• Writing and posting information to City intranet
• Assist in development of content for City cable television channel, including graphics
• Assist with special projects as assigned

The ideal candidate should be strongly interested in dealing with the public and community. The well-organized and responsible candidate should also have experience in Microsoft Office applications, professional phone etiquette, customer service, and how to effectively operate and utilize office technologies such as computers, copy machines and related equipment.

This position requires strong written communication skills. This position may involve driving and photography of areas throughout the City, including various City facilities. This position requires a person with a flexible nature and positive attitude and excellent organization skills. Some remote work is possible as well as photography/videography coverage of city events. Up to 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities include Viz Trio graphics playout for daily news shows, scripting scenes and templates, and troubleshooting issues with Vizrt scenes and systems as well as other broadcast graphics platforms. The candidate must be able to work under pressure during live shows, learn and adapt to new technology and software, problem solve and be able to meet deadlines on a daily basis.
