Project Description
Living in South Florida, the detrimental effects of climate change may be inevitable in our lifetime. Co-sponsored by University of Miami’s Center for Communication, Culture, and Change and the Field Innovation Team, Miami DO Tank demonstrated how gaming can move communities to prepare and become more resilient to the impact of rising sea levels.
The group played two scientifically created games and found out where they are available as an open-source resource and learned how gaming can educate a populace. Concerned leaders, experts and climate change scholars imparted their research and taught attendants the six-step design-thinking process and how to use that methodology to create innovative solutions to address the challenges of rising sea levels.
