Employer Engagement Opportunities

Information Session

45 minutes to 1 hour session used to inform students on special programs, scholarships, jobs, or internships at your company. You may bring promotional items, informational booklets or flyers and refreshments. Please include 15 minutes for Q&A.

No Cost. 

Guest Speaking

A representative from your office comes to address students, usually as part of a class, on special topics relevant to their studies. The speaker also uses this platform to discuss and answer questions about their career and other careers at their organization as well as to motivate students toward such careers.

Brain Cooler

Each semester the Stein Family Career Office hosts a Brain Cooler event during midterm and finals week. This is an occasion for your organization to have a physical presence, get to know the students, distribute information, promote employment, or other special opportunities. Gain extra SoC love by sponsoring activities which in the past have included fun food & drinks, giveaways, massages, photo ops, and games.

SoC Communication, Media, & Entertainment Career Fair

We’d love to have you, or someone from your organization, to join us! Our career fair focuses on industries that are tailored for our students majoring in Motion Pictures, Media Management, Broadcast Journalism, Electronic Media, Public Relations, Advertising, Interactive & Immersive Media, and Communication Studies. The UM SoC Career Fair is free of charge, join us and meet some phenomenal students!
