Join filmmaker and O Cinema co-founder Kareem Tabsch and Bill Cosford Cinema manager, Rene Rodriguez, for a screening of Mike Nichols 1996 comedy "The Birdcage" followed by a Q&A in-person discussion with Tabsch. Kareem Tabsch is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker whose work focuses on documenting that which exists on the fringes of mainstream society. The University of Miami School of Communication is pleased to announce the inaugural United Black Students and UTrailblazers Canes Black History Film Festival. We seek short (5 minutes or less) films based on contents in the UTrailblazers Experience, current events, and/or Black student experience(s) on a multicultural campus. Films awarded first place will receive $1500 and second place will receive $500.
