5 years ago, Manny’s Fannies was started as a way to honor Manny Lopez, an incredible friend and inspiration to us all. That year, the team was comprised of six cyclists participating in Bike MS, a 50 mile ride from Florida International University to Key Largo. Though our team was small, we raised $6,600 in its first year. Since then, we have grown in size and raised raised over $44,000. Our goal for this year is to raise $25,000 (and it’s not too late to help!).
Manny’s Fannies isn’t just another cycling team. It’s a family. We aren’t professionals. Some of us even go 364 days without riding a bike. We participate in Bike MS every year for the comraderie and to do our part in the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
The team created a new logo, promotional posters, designed apparel and merchandise, and came up with a rewards and recognition program. In addition, a new website and social media presence ideas were presented.
