On this week’s Your Story, we meet Isabella Velazquez and her pediatric therapist Marcela Teran. After being diagnosed with autism at a young age, Isabella has forged a special bond with Marcela that’s helped to bring her out of her shell.
This video was produced in the Science Documentary: Autism class, co-taught by Jim Virga and Julia Dallman. Students collaborated with WPBT2 South Florida PBS to produce these videos. The course brings together student citizens across science, communication, and education to collaborate on content intended to reach audiences on multiple platforms.
