Project Description
At the Miami Gardens Elementary School, inclusion is being taught in an innovative program. The school is deliberately creating mixed classes of students with autism, and students without autism to foster a better sense of understanding at an early age.
This video was produced in the Science Documentary: Autism class, co-taught by Jim Virga and Julia Dallman. Students collaborated with WPBT2 South Florida PBS to produce these videos. The course brings together student citizens across science, communication, and education to collaborate on content intended to reach audiences on multiple platforms.
