Earth Day Celebration: ‘A Journey Through Space and Time with Xavier Cortada’

Miami-Dade County’s pioneer eco-artist and inaugural artist-in-residence, Xavier Cortada, will celebrate Earth Day 2023 at the University of Miami’s Cosford Cinema by working with his team at the Xavier Cortada Foundation to engage guests in a series of thought-provoking and solutions-oriented art projects that explore our deep interconnectedness with the rest of the planet. FILM + CONVERSATION EVENT Join us at 6 p.m. on Tues., April 25, for a special screening and conversation with Miami filmmakers and scholars about the history and future of Miami in a Francophone Caribbean context of anticolonialism, poetry, and radical film. The conversation will be moderated by University of Miami School of Communication Associate Professor and Associate Dean for Inclusion and Outreach Terri Francis (she/her).
